Meet Stacy and Keith, they were married in March in an old historical church that has great meaning to them, but more that later in their wedding post! ; ) I was so grateful that they drove all the way from The Woodlands for their engagement session with me only weeks prior to their wedding! They are both so wonderful and compliment each other well.

They both had decided to do a “First Look”, which you know i LOVE! And also choose to do family pictures before as well, it allowed for everyone to enjoy the reception instantly with a lull in time and waiting. (which please take note, I work fast and efficiently to get the shots between ceremony and reception!) I loved many many of Melissa and Chase’s “first look” images!

I had the pleasure of working with Marissa at Glass Slipper Events for the wedding. She is amazing and helps any wedding day go as smoothly as possible! I loved the decor and fall like color scheme that set the mood for the wedding.

I knew this was going to be something that we could definitely do! Now I last year’s birthday party was a little crazy with the carnival theme… but I absolutely LOVE how his “camping deer” party came out! It was completely how I envisioned. There were a few “mishaps” but overall it was a COMPLETE success and really fun to plan! While I am photographer, not a designer.. I have always had an interest in design and party planning.. while yes I go crazy and even have NIGHTMARES (yes I had nightmares about his party..lol) it’s another “creative outlet” for me! ; )

How exciting! What you usually do not get to see is the behind the scenes at one of my shoots. Well today you are in luck! I was blessed to have my mom and sister attend the shoot as extra hands if i needed anything or to help setup etc.. I happened to throw a backup camera in my sister’s hands and told her to capture somethings! She got mostly shots of me in “action” but she did happen to get the guest that was NOT invited…. a snake! Yes, a snake.. he was obvisouly making himself right at home next to our table setup! Now after we saw the snake and he was “taken care of” I felt better about wearing my boots that day! ; )

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas… or at least a bit better than the one I had. Not that it was THAT horrible I did spend it at home with my family.. but we were not able to make it to my Grandparents for Christmas day lunch with the rest of the family. Why? You might ask… well we were and ARE sick. Yet again. this whole month of December has seem to have gotten the better of our health! My littlest baby woke up from a nap on Christmas Eve with a 102.5 fever and got even worse on Christmas day, 104.5 which meant that I spent my Christmas Day evening in the ER. Poor Baby turns out he has a Bacteria infection of some kind. He is much better now, but while he was suffering from that, my husband had a lovely case of “pink eye” and a cold.. and I was and am not far behind him with the same stuff! While I am EXTREMELY THANKFUL and BLESSED that we are ok, and had a quiet Christmas.. it just was not what we intended!
